It turns out that my next focus person, a William Spencer b. about 1830 in either Stephentown, NY. or Herkimer Co, Ny. has been the point of my search for a decade, and the Genweb Michigan Census that you mentioned is helpful in the elimination of some of the prospects, which is valuable to me. The posting you responded to was placed to focus attention on all the surnames of John H.Spencer`s female lines, hoping someone would recognize some of the community names.
