ELLIOTT and Mariah (HAGAMAN) ELLIOTT were my 2g grand uncle and aunt. I have considerable information on the ELLIOTT line and quite a bit on the HAGAMAN line. Mariah was actually born 10 Sep 1823 in Providence, Fayette, Penna., although she did live in Stark Co., Ohio, as a teenager. She died 7 Nov 1889 in Amboy Twp., Hillsdale, MI. Samuel and James both settled in Hillsdale Co. in 1835. They both came from Lancashire Co. (near Rochdale) in 1825 to Lowell or Dracutt area, MA. My computer broke down so am working from a laptop with no access to my family tree maker. I am giving you info from what I remember. Both Samuel and Grace are buried in the NorthLawn Cemetery outside of North Adams. So are James and Grace, plus numerous other family members. I have much to share but am hampered in access.     3. Desire information on Elijah HARWOOD, born Connecticut, died in Civil War in June 1863 at Ft. Monroe Virginia, his widow, Mary Kellogg then moved from Allegany Co. New York to Moscow Twp. Hillsdale County about 1867 with her 3 sons, and daughter, George Rufus, Joseph Guy, Jennett and Judson Harwood. Hillsdale Co. in the 1840's (Don't know if they knew they were related) !! They both belong to the Henry Rowley line, born abt 1595, who was a Plymouth Mass. potato farmer !! I didn't recoginize any of the names that you mention, in Hillsdale County !! I first picked up Solomon living in 1830 at Big Flats Twp. Steuben Co. New York, living next door to his father-in-law, Andrew Teachman and in 1844, when Solomon moved to Big Grove Twp. Kendall Co. Ill with his parents family and his twin son and daughter were born there, then between 1844 & 1847, back to his father-in-law's farm at Elkland Twp. Tioga Co. Pa. In the fall of 1858, he moved to his wife's Uncle Luke Teachman farm in Swan Creek, Fulton Co. Oh. while his two brother-in-laws, Nathan Hills & John Culp (& John Beagle) moved from Tioga Co. Pa. to Scott Twp. Sandusky Co. Ohio and Nathan's lifelong friend, John William Beagle also moved to Scott Twp. at the same time. After the death of Uncle Luke Teachman in early 1860's, Solomon moved to Amboy Twp. Fulton Co. Ohio, then in 1882 he moved to Jefferson Twp. Hillsdale Co. Mi. where he died in 1900 !! I can't place this family. Mary Ann VAN SCOY, daughter of Abraham Van Scoy and his wife Mary Knapp, was born in New York, probably Westchester County, in 1816. She married in 1833, in Huron County, Ohio, William FANCHER, son of Thaddeus Fancher and his wife Sally MEAD. They were living in Greenwich Township, Huron County, Ohio, in 1850 and 1860 and in Camden Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan in 1870 and 1880. They had 2 sons, Thaddeus William born 1839 and George born 1848, and 6 daughters. Thaddeus William Fancher and wife Ermina Griffin were living in Lorain, Ohio, in 1880. They had two children, a son Elvadore and a daughter Millicent Alfre. Elvadore was born in 1864. He married Harriet L. SCHROEDER. He appears on a list of "members not attending" the 1907 VanScoy-Knapp reunion as "Mr. Elvador R. Fancher 1902 East 93st Cleveland Ohio". I don't know whether they had children. George Fancher was born in 1848. At the 1870 census he was living in Camden Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan, with his father William Fancher. At the 1880 census he was a widower living with his daughters Mary (age 7) and Adah (age 5) next door to his father and step-mother. I don't know anything about him after 1880. (I don't think he is the George A. Fancher in Springport Township, Jackson County, Michigan, in the 1910 census.) Am I missing a Fancher line from William and Mary Ann (Van Scoy) Fancher?
