(Ira (Sr.) lived Erie, Monroe Co. MI. Ira Chapin Smith married Alice Prudence (Brightman). They had sons Henry, Focian, Parker, Leander, Hernando. They lived Wright Twp. Hillsdale Co. MI. After Prudence died, Ira Chapin Smith married Emeline Church but no new children. Ira Chapin Smith's sister Lydia Smith married Everett Norris and they had son Ira Norris b.1855. Both Lydia and Everett died before 1862.

She states there were two, the son's name was Ira as well. One is burried in the Waldron cemetary, he is probally the son, with his wife Prudence (Maiden name unknown) I do know she was not his 1st wife, Would be glad to share what I have. I did not know he was related to Laura Smith Haviland, the Lenawee Public Library has quite a bit of information on her. As does the historical society.
