Apparently this William never got married according to his DC (at least it said he was single, not a widower) so possibly that is why he isn't in the marriage list. I have not found any census on-line yet. I have a Bentley researcher working in Michigan on this. Maybe she can find the census for me. Thanks for checking the 1860 and 1870. He was naturalized in 1896 so he probably went down there just before that. I will have to check the 1900 - 1910 and 1920 census.
