Hi List There's no way I can make it to a FHC -these two old Grand Traverse Probate records, numbers 567 and 608, hold [I hope] the info about my husband's great grandfather & gg grandmother. The two microfilm reels are: Grand Traverse Co., MI Probate files, nos. 543-569 1887-1888 FHL US/CAN Film 980164 I need this file - Paffhansen Marian (Mrs.) 567 insane and Probate files, nos. 600-622 1888-1890 FHL US/CAN Film 980166 I need this file - Paffhansen Antone 608 Anton [my husband's great grandfather] died 13 Apr 1889. He left a wife, Mary, and 3 small children. Unfortunately no one knows where he died or is buried. They lived in Mayfield twp and I hope the Probate record has the goods. Marian [Mary to us] died 4 May 1904 at her home in Hannah [Mayfield Twp]. Her husband, John died 25 Mar 1904. According to his obituary, Mary was too ill to attend his funeral. This fits with the probate record notion about her. I tried contacting the Probate Court in Grand Traverse county but they couldn't help with these old records.
