Don't even bother trying to send for records from the state. I work in the mental health field and tried to get records for a doctor for a current patient for either the 1960s or 1970s and they had been destroyed. I don't know why they wouldn't keep these kinds of records longer. We used an official "release of records" with the patient's signature but there was nothing. Deb
