Thanks, Brenda. I have my great grandfather's obit but it does not mention any names except my grandmother and her sister. I found Arnold's name in the census records living with them. Too many "stories" that I'd like to get verified. Sounds like they didn't have much more to do with him after institutionalizing him. It would be nice if the Library would at least acknowledge my letter and tell me whether I could get the records or not. David Nelson Gregory died in Oregon 28 April 1928, Martha McKee Gregory died 25 Jan 1929 in Oregon and Arnold died 1 Jan 1928. Do you know if they had obits printed of the inmates? I know it probably wouldn't have his parents names because it seems as though the hospital didn't know that information. Arnold was 7 in the 1900 Census in Charlevoix CO. with parents and sisters. <The sexton, Brandon, and his staff are very helpful 231-922-4907 the records they have are indexed although not complete. The Traverse City, City Hall has cemetery records also.. some match the sexton's... some do not.. they both have records that the other does not.> Someone checked the Oakwood sexton's records and Arnold wasn't listed but he did say that if we found him there he would update his records. Do you have an address for the City Hall so I could check with them? Many thanks again for your help. Peg
