I have obituaries for Kalkaska from 1950 to 2000.. if you need any from that time frame. I see 3 Woodwards.. pages 322, 362 and 507 Page 322 - Oct 26,1972: Mrs. Nellie Woodward daughter of John and Jennie Huggins and married to John W. Woodward at Cincinnati, Ohio in 1943. Nellie was born 21 Dec 1906, at Detroit. The Woodwards moved to Kalkaska county about 1 1/2 years ago from Detroit. Surviving besides her husband are three sisters: Mrs Clarence Ehrler and Mrs. Hilda Fisher both of Detroit and Mrs. Norman Mutton of Florida Funeral services were held Monday, October 23 1972 from the McCabe Funeral Home in Detroit with the interment in Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit. Local Arrangements were by Schwartz-Wolfe Funeral Home end Page 362 of collection of obits. 2. John Woodward (wife, Nellie, above) of Mancelona, MI died at his home 10 Mar 1975. John was born 23 Mar 1910, at Detroit, the son of Walter and Winifred Woodward, both of whom preceded him in death. On 26 Feb 1943, he married Nellie Huggins in Cin Ohio. Mrs. Woodward died in Oct of 1972 Woodwards moved here from Detroit where Mr. Woodward retired from the Simon Patrick Paper Co. in 1970. He was a veteran of WW2 and a member of Charles Learned Post #1 American Legion. Surviving are one brother, Ralph of Rapid City and a niece Joanne Alm of Kalkaska. A brother preceded him in death. Funeral services were held, Thursday, 13 Mar 1975 from the McCabe Funeral Home in Detroit. Burial was in Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit, Friends called Tuesday evening at the Schwartz-Wolfg Funeral Home in Kalkaska. end 3. Ralph Woodward, age 68, of Kalkaska and Largo, Florida passed away Monday, 21 Feb at University Hospital in Largo. Woodward was a thirty year resident of Kalkaska, a past president of the P.T.A.; a Trustee of Kalkaska Memorial Hospital; member of the People's Church of Kalkaska; Twice MAster of Kalkaska Masonic Lodge; A WW2 Veteran and member of the Kalkaska Post V.F.W. He retired from Wayne Wire Products after twenty-five years. Woodward is survived by his wife, Louis; two daughters, Mrs James (Joanne) Evans of Kalkaska; Janice Gray of Grand Rapids; one son, John of San Rafaelle, Ca and 3 grandsons.
