Heading up there, or over up there, to do what we all are doing!! And to visit a cousin, I have met online, about 6 months ago... so looking forward to it... Thought about camping, moteling and renting, we shall see what works and whats available. Most of my family started there, or lived most of their lives there so its a good place to start! Can't believe prior to genealogy, how many times I visited Traverse.to ski, shop etc.. without a clue, as to who lived there first. Youth and ? Ready for this? Researching: Drow. Drew, Gauthiers. Thanks to Becky from Albany New York mailing list Go to Yahoo.com Then type in Maps Then type in maps again. Then type in the city you want. A map of the city will come up. Next, look to the left where it says nearby businesses. Type in "town clerk", town historian, whatever you want. It will pop up. That's the way I find libraries. Hope this helps. ____________Thanks Becky~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ brenda kingsley@aol.com
Hi everyone.. Brenda here with a way to help the GTAGS society of Grand Traverse help you..... http://www.rootsweb.com/~migtags/ Grand Traverse Area Genealogical Society This is what the newsletter needs help with>>>> http://www.rootsweb.com/~migtags/Kinship-Tales-Feb.htm NEWSLETTER SUBMISSIONS The newsletter editor is looking for family bible records, old letters, and other unpublished family papers to publish in Kinship Tales. Publication of these materials preserves them for future generations and, because the newsletter is indexed by the Allen County Public Library in PERSI, genealogists from around the world will have the opportunity to examine your records. Please consider submitting your photocopied records, along with any information on where it came from, approximate date, and additional information about the family. Queries should include the full name of the individual(s), important dates (birth, marriage, death, residences), locations (city-county-state, if known). The more information provided, the more likely that someone will be able to answer it. Queries and photocopied records can be submitted to Loraine Wallace at Piper1014@aol.com or sent to Homer Thiel, 3975 N. Tucson Blvd, Tucson AZ 85716 homer@desert.com

Hi Everyone.. Many of us and our fellow genealogists helped Colleen win the last round of the contest. http://members.aol.com/whopbof2/vote.html to check out the final winners.. Colleen's is: Bowers Family Homestead.. for any spelling of Bower, Bauer etc.. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Park/4501 We are ready for the final contest... Let's support her and genealogy by Voting at the times she has listed below on Wednesday ONLY>>>>>> Look at the web counter at the bottom of the main page.. Colleen has lots of traffic and for good reason~ Thanks for helping and all your support last time as well as this time Brenda K. Wolfgram Moore http://members.aol.com/kingsley/mailist.html kingsley@aol.com __________________ Hi Family, Okay cousins, everything we've been working all month for is now before us. The second round of the site fight began this morning at midnight. Tomorrow [Wednesday] is the day we all need to vote for our home. I'm sending this message out today because some of you wanted to have time to tell your friends, relatives and coworkers. Here are the guidelines: The voting site is at -- http://members.aol.com/whopbof2/vote.html If you have multiple e-mail addies you can place a vote using each address. AOL members can only vote once with their AOL addresses; however, if you have web based e-mail address[es], you can use them. Note that there is a number counter just below the voting form. You'll need the number from that counter to put on your form. If you vote using multiple addresses, you'll need to MAKE SURE THE NUMBER COUNTER below the voting form CHANGES each time you vote. Just hit reload and the page should change numbers. If the number doesn't change when you hit reload [or refresh] close out the page and go back in - that should do it. Voting is from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. EDT tomorrow [Wednesday] ONLY. For you international cousins, I'll copy and paste the hour differences [from the first round we were in] between your country and the US east coast at the bottom of this message. [For our newbies] - If you or anyone else wants to see the Homestead, it's at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Park/4501 Please ask everyone you know with an e-mail address [or two or three] to vote for the Homestead, okay? We can use all the support we can get! You'll have to use your fingers [and maybe your toes] to take it from here to get yourself ahead or back to U.S. EST time ~~ At 11:35 a.m. U.S. EST on Tuesday, 29 February it is: 08:35 a.m. in U.S. PST and in Canada [BC] 09:35 a.m. in U.S. MST and in Canada [MT & AB] 10:35 a.m. in U.S. CST and in Canada [SK & MB] 01:35 p.m. in Canada [NS & NF] 04:35 p.m. in England, Wales and Scotland 05:35 p.m. in Germany and Switzerland 06:35 p.m. in South Africa 03:35 a.m. in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday, 1 March 05:35 a.m. in New Zealand on Wednesday, 1 March I _think_ that covers everyone in the family! The idea here is to gear your time to anywhere from 12:01a.m. to 11:59p.m. 5 April in the U.S. eastern time zone for this voting. Colleen If you have any questions, I'll stay online and keep my e-mail open tonight till 11p.m. MST and will be back online Wednesday from 7a.m. till 11p.m. We can do this! :) Colleen
