    3. G'day to all, I haven't been on this list for a long time, but just found out that my ggg gf had a brother (or possibly a half-brother) named Peter WILSON who spent several years in Flushing, Genesee County, MI. I found him on the 1870 Census with his wife Eliza and a son George and daughter Mary. I also found Peter and Eliza on the 1880 Census for Flushing, but with no children still living at home. I know there was another son named Henry who apparently moved to NY state or perhaps never moved with the family to Michigan. There was also another daughter named Sarah Wilson who married someone by the name of BUSSELL. Sarah BUSSELL and George WILSON were still living in Flushing in 1900/1901 and I believe Mary Wilson married a SMITH and also remained in Flushing although I didn't find Mary or Sarah on the 1880 Census. There is a Mary who is probably her, but the birth years didn't match with what I have so I'm not positive. I guess what I'm asking is if there is a way I can find out when Peter WILSON died and how I can find out what is on his death record. I'm 99% sure that I can tie Peter Wilson and my grandfather to a line of Quaker Wilson's, but without knowing the parents of Peter it is almost impossible to be sure. I'm hoping that Peter's death record may have recorded the names of his parents. I also believe I know who they are, but am looking for verification. My ggg-gf died in 1878 in Oakland County and his death record recorded his father's name and mother's first name. If Peter's death record shows names of parents.....we'll know if my theory is correct and the mystery will be solved. I only know that Peter WILSON was alive and living in Flushing in 1880 and by 1900 was deceased, but 3 of his children were living in Flushing. I am presuming he died in Flushing, but am not positive. If anyone can help me by checking cemetery books in the Flushing area or in any other way I would be very appreciative. By the way, Wilson could also be spelled WILLSON, however this family usually used the single 'L'. Many thanks, Bonnie Menzer Barnes Perth, Western Australia

    3. There is a Sarah A BUSSELL in the 1930 census, Flushing Twp. with husband Byran BUSSELL. Sarah is age 87 and Byron age 81. It says Byron was age 20 when first married and Sarah age 26. There is no other family with them. - Karen ----- Original Message ----- From: Bonnie Barnes <bonnieb@iinet.net.au> To: <MIGENESE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, November 23, 2002 11:13 AM Subject: [MIGENESE] Peter WILSON, Flushing Michigan > G'day to all, > > I haven't been on this list for a long time, but just found out that my ggg > gf had a brother (or possibly a half-brother) named Peter WILSON who spent > several years in Flushing, Genesee County, MI. 3. You can contact the Genesee County Clerk at 810-257-3225 for info on how to receive a copy of the death certificate. I got one for my grandmother - but filled out an "Application for Death Record" which I had found somewhere online. But, call that number and they can tell you what you need to do. Good luck!!!
