    1. [MIGENESE] Seeking Herbert & Hannah (SARNO) Saal, 1955
    2. Lois Carmack
    3. Trying to locate Herbert and Hannah (Sarno) Saal who adopted a baby girl at Sikeston, Scott Co., Missouri. The baby was born on Dec 26, 1955. Hannah SARNO Saal is a sister to a Dr. Samuel SARNO, who was a prominent physician in Morehouse, New Madrid Co., Missouri. I have info on the biological parents of this baby girl, who would be 46 years old. At the time of the adoption Herbert and Hannah Saal lived in Flint, Genesee Co., Michigan (1955). The only Herbert Saal that I found an address for (on the search site) was located in Rockford, Winnebago Co., ILLINOIS, age 83. This may be who I am looking for, but not sure. If anyone has info on Herbert, Hannah, or the baby girl they adopted, please contact me ASAP at email: sonnieandlois@bootheel.net Thanks, Lois in MO __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 1. [MIGENESE] Jones Family
    2. I think this is the Lyida I am looking for, however I need to find out the childrens names from this marriage to see if they match up to what I have. So far I am not having any luck on the internet. I have ancestry.com but seldom find anyone in the census when I do a search. Seems like a waste of money for me. I can say I have a connection when I find the children for Lydia and Peter JONES because the only children I know of so far are Hattie JONES, Emma JONES and Flora JONES, with a possible Laffie (Lafayette) JONES, and possible Liddie/Liddia JONES. Also to help make a connection, I need to then see if this Lyida AUSTIN/JONES married a man named CHAPEL/CHAPLE after JONES died. Don't think any children were involved. I think he died and she later married a William BROWN. When Lydia married a William BROWN she had Daisy M. BROWN, Ernest BROWN,Glaydis/Glayds BROWN, Lillian BROWN and the rest I am not sure of.. Hattie BROWN married a Charley Heath, he drowned. She later married a William Murry BROWN. I have a 1900 Census on a William M. BROWN who married a Olive A.,which I think may be Hattie. Listed are the children names that I recognize. Weird though because the Daisy M. matches up in name, middle initial, birth month, birth year. Matches are 3 names including herself... so I don't know what to think on this one. So I will be still trying to find about the 2nd marriage of Lydia to HEATH and then to BROWN plus the children; also birth for Hattie BROWN and try to make out if this is a nickname for Olive.. God Bless Pam +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ We maintain the Michigan Marriage Index Database that has the following record: PETER - JONES m LYDIA ANN AUSTIN in ST CLAIR cty 16 OCT 1864 Did not find any other of the names that seem to fit. Please let us know if you are related to the above marriage as we would like to add your email address to the record as a reference for other researchers. 1. [MIGENESE] Re: [INDIANA] Re: [Jones] Jones
    2. Cahty, I didn't mention any date from the Bible because there were none for the Pete JONES and Lydia.. and I do not know her maiden name yet, but have a good lead. What I am going to list now is from one of Lydia's daughter's (Hattie BROWN, maiden name JONES) - daughter's Bible -- who is Daisy May BROWN/McCALLUM/McGLAUGHLIN, Daisy is my g grandmother. Daisy's maiden name was BROWN (her father William BROWN), Daisy married a James S. McCALLUM, he died and she later married a Nathan Oliver SMITH, who she finally divorced against her wishes, and then she married what was said to be the love of her life a Grant McGLAUGHLIN However the births in the Bible are Nathan Oliver SMITH b. 8 April 1882 >> 1st Wife who died shortly after giving birth: Synthia M. Donalson b. 18 July 1882 d. 6 June 1917>> infant who died> Mariah Oliv Smith 31 May 1917 d. 31 May 1917 >>a son, Nathan Ewing Smith b. 26 Oct 1909 . Daisy's 1st husband> James S. McCALLUM b. 11 Jan 1865 d. 31 Dec 1918 -- Daisy May BROWN/McCALLUM/SMITH/McGLAUGHLIN b 7 March 1892 in Prescott MI d. 17 March 1982 in Alamogordo, New Mexico --- James Murry McCALLUM b. 11 Oct 1909 in Prescott MI --- Mary Ellen McCALLUM b. 21 Jan 1912 in Prescott MI died at a young age in a car accident leaving a young son, Phillip HARTLERODE who Daisy adopted and raised---- Anges May McCALLUM b.12 Dec 1913 in Flint MI ----Frances Louise McCALLUM/SMITH/SKINNER b. 25 April 1916 in East Tawas MI d. 20 Jan 2002 in TN. --- Marguerite Lucille McCALLUM b. 24 Nov 1918 d. 28 Dec 1918 My g grandmother is Daisy M. McCALLUM/SMITH/McGLAUGHLIN (maiden name BROWN) & her daughter Frances Louise McCALLUM is my grandmother who married a William Harry SKINNER. When Daisy remarried Nathan Oliver SMITH, he adopted all the children therefore changing their last name from McCALLUM to SMITH... Some stayed in MI and some moved to IN.. There you have it Thanks again for all who have help me in my search.. It is greatly appreciated God Bless Pam

Those the only places I see listed on in a family Bible with births and dates. To start I am looking for a Pete JONES who married someone name Lydia, maiden name unknown to me. But she was born in Michigan. Pete died in from one of those diseases that was common. She then married someone named Chapel, don't know if that is a last name or first name. Next is a William BROWN. The picture I have looks like she is at least in her 60's, her hair is all white/gray. Written on the back with the information says the picture was taken in 1910. Lydia Jones has 3 daughters that I know of, Emma JONES, it says she was an old maid, Florida (Flora) JONES and Hattie JONES. I also have names on another picture with what looks like the same lady, Lydia, 2 different pictures of people with her. On it the one girl name is written Aunt Liddy JONES and the man says Uncle LAFFIE. Then about the child it just says, Liddy's kid...No other information..So I don't know if these 2 other people are her children or if my grandmother was writing and reffering to them as her Aunt and Uncle.. But anyhow those are the names I have in MICHIGAN... BTW, some moved to INDIANA at some point... Any JONES with those names in MICHIGAN? God Bless Pam

    1. [MIGENESE] RE: SMITH
    2. Looking for information on Nathan Oliver SMITH who married a Daisy May BROWN. It was Nathan's second marriage. His first wife died shortly after giving birth, with the infant dying first. He had one other child, Ewing SMITH. Daisy May Brown first marriage was to James S. McCallum. She later moved to Indiana. I don't know if she married Nathan Oliver Smith in Indiana or Michigan. She did however eventually divorced Nathan Smith, against her will, and did go on to later marry a Grant McGlaughlin. It was said to be the love of her life. I believe she lived in Indiana then. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping it will lead me to information on her mother Hattie BROWN ( maiden name JONES) and Hattie's mother Lydia, last name unknown. I have tried google.com and the list plus rootsweb.. I haven't come up with anything so far. God Bless Pam

    1. [MIGENESE] BROWN, FREEMAN & BULLOCK, HENTHORN...

    3. This is an exert from newsletter: SOMEBODY'S LINKS, May 18, 2002 o A printed form letter dated 9 March 1896 from A. L. FREEMAN of the Morning Star Publishing House, 457 Shawmut Avenue, Boston, informs interested parties that Sunday School teaching aids created by Miss Margaret C. BROWN and formerly published by the Peter Paul Book Company of Buffalo, New York, are now being published by Morning Star. I would like to reunite this letter with a member of the FREEMAN or BROWN families at no charge. Preliminary research suggests Margaret C. BROWN MITCHELL, daughter of Rev. T. Edwin and Elizabeth BROWN of Franklin, Pennsylvania, to be a likely match. Margaret married Mark P. MITCHELL, an oilman, and they moved from Franklin, Pennsylvania to Independence, Kansas circa 1900. Sue Eckert famlysleuth@aol.com o I have a photocopy of a Bible record. This Bible was sold, but I have the address of the person to whom it was sold and will provide it to anyone with an interest in the line. The year of the information is about 1849 in Maryland. There are enclosures as well as a photocopy of the Bible pages containing data. The BULLOCK mentioned was not from my line. Names include: K. R. HENTHORN (possibly Kaswell); Addie Rhoda HENTHORN; Marie HENTHORN; George Washington HENTHORN, father of Addie; LOWDENSLAYER; Rhoda Long BULLOCK; HUTCHISON Mary A. Old maold@direct.ca

    2. Hi list, I am hoping someone can help me solve this mystery on my grandmothers side. My grandmother was born in Prescott, Michigan, her name at birth was Frances Louise BROWN. Her mother was Daisy Mae McCALLUM (BROWN)> At sometime they did move to Indiana, but, I do not know if her mother or other siblings followed. The mystery I need help is Daisy's mother. I have pictures with little information on them. Here is what I have: The information on the picture is that her first name was Lydia. Lydia's 1st marriage was to a Pete JONES. 2nd marriage was to someone named Chapel, does not say if this is a last name or first name. 3rd marriage was to a William BROWN. Lydia had children with Pete JONES, who were: Emma JONES, who died in Florida an old maid.> Flora Bell JONES & Hattie JONES ( Hattie is my 2nd g grandmother). Hattie married a Charley Heath who drowned, I would like any information on that drowning also. Hattie later married a William Murry BROWN. In another picture of her I have the name Laffie and Liddy Jones. Not sure is this is another child of Lydia's. If any of these names sound familiar please contact me. I am willing to scan what pictures I have and share any info. Thanks and God Bless Pam
