Because all the family were in Gen. Co. and he was buried there I assumed (not the right thing to do in genealogy) that he had died there too. Do you know if Ardella Barnhart (his mother) is listed in the GENDIS? Perhaps she died somewhere else too. I'll have to check. I looked for her obit but there didn't seem to be any in 1882. I am such a greenhorn at this. Thanks again. Barb

With the records from Cronk and Aventine Cemeteries in front of me and the dates of death I still was not able to pull up these records. I even had the name of the father in some cases. What am I doing wrong? The names I am looking for are: BARNHART, ARDELLA D. NOV. 4, 1882; BARNHART, ARCHIE. E. D. JULY 25, 1897. I would like very much to find WILLIAM BARNHART (husband of Ardella) but I think he died before 1867.. Do you have any suggestions? I have visited the Flint Library several times and have found the member of the Genealogy Society very helpful. Now I am trying to find ancestors of William and Ardella in NY where they came from. I think her maiden name might have been LUCE, her father's name TRUMAN. Genealogy is so-o exciting but does try one's patience! Any suggestions you can give will ber most appreciated. Barbara

She died in 1885 and was born in 1849. That is all I know. I cannot find her in the Genesee Co. death index, the FGS Red Book, or in Gendis. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. 1. [MIGENESE] Luce & Barnhart Info
    2. I am looking for info on William Barnhart who married Ardella Luce in NY about 1834. Her parents were Truman and Laura (or Loretta) Luce. William and Ardella Barnhart moved to Clayton Township about 1845. They moved there from Erie Co., NY, the town of Lancaster. William died before the 1860 Census but Ardella lived till November 1882. They had at least 15 children. One of their daughters, Ellen, married Philip Beach and is my husband's gr-gr-grandmother. Does anyone know if there is family history of this line in the Flint Library? I am close enough to drive there for the day. I have found this site to be very informative and cooperative. Thanks for any help you can give me. Barbara

    1. [MIGENESE] Wiggins
    2. Tonia Baird
    3. Hi. I am new to this list as of yesterday. I have not seen any posts so far, but am hoping that this is an active list. Can someone please tell me where I could find information about a birth in Flint in 1925? What about WWII records for someone who lived in Flint? If we can find the birth record, I would have his parents names and could hopefully find death records and cemeteries for them in Flint. This is the info I have on this relative from his obituary: WIGGINS, MR. THOMAS E., Sr. Muskegon Mr. Thomas Wiggins, age 71, passed away early Tuesday morning at a local hospital. He was born March 19, 1925 in Flint, MI. (I am disappointed they did not state his parents names). Mr. Wiggins married the former Jean Barnard on July 2, 1955, in Muskegon. (This would have been his second wife, I am assuming he may have been married between 1943 - 1945 the first time also in Muskegon). He served in the U.S. Army in WWII & was employed at Teledyne Continental Motors as a machinist for 44 years retiring in 1987. mr. Wiggins was active in VFW Don Rea Post #8846 in N. Muskegon & the Muskegon Eagles #668. He is survived by his wife, Jean, 6 sons, Thomas, Jr. (Rose) Wiggins of KY; Dennis (Deb) Wiggins, David Wiggins, Brian (Jill) Wiggins, Gene (Kie) Wiggins & Scott Wiggins all of Muskegon; 2 daughters, Lynn Wiggins of Warren, MI & Cindy (Mike) Willacker of Muskegon; 3 brothers, Bob (Pat) Wiggins & Add Wiggins both of Muskegon, Dick (Dawn) Wiggins of CO; 1 sister, Alyce Kowalkowski of Muskegon, 20 grandchildren. 9 great grandchildren, 6 very special sisters-in-law, 7 brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wiggins was preceded in death by 1 son, Chris; 2 brothers, Raymond & John & 1 sister, Lyla Cooley. FUNERAL SERVICE Thursday 11 A.M. at the Young Funeral Home. Rev. Donald LeMaire officiating. Burial in Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION Today, Wednesday 1-3 & 6-8 P.M.
