    1. Adopted cousin
    2. Hi all - Thank you to everyone who responded to my request re finding my adopted cousin. I probably didn't make myself too clear in my first post. We found out about this baby (Thomas Fox or Reynolds) about 10 years ago through my mother. But, she didn't know much either. She said my aunt disappeared for 2-3 months, had a baby and after a week or two gave it up for adoption and he was named Thomas (this was around 1938 or 1939). Last name would be Fox if she wasn't married or would be Reynolds if she was. Some think she may have given birth in Chicago and went through The Cradle to adopt him out. She was living in MI at the time, so she may have given birth there - I believe she had finished her first year of college. Afterward, she lived in Detroit. When a family member recently asked her about the baby, she denied it. But, according to my cousin's birth certificate (1942), my aunt had had one previous pregnancy/delivery. My cousins and I went to the Library of Michigan and went through the records there looking for the birth - no luck. We also looked for a marriage and divorce record for Ruth Fox and William Reynolds - no luck again. We know where she has lived and who she has been married to since 1940 and went through all of her papers after she died. All of our relatives that would know anything have passed away so we're going on what my mother told us. I am doing this to help my cousins possibly find their brother and we would appreciate all the help we can get. Thank you, Priscilla
