Hi! Trying to find a David RAMSEY who was born to Henry RAMSEY and the former Elizabeth WHITING in Wayne County. Henry Sr. died in the civil War, and Elizabeth abandoned the children. David was indentured out to the Protestant Orphan Asylum, and from there indentured to a man named Jipp WILSON in 1866. He was about six years old. David had brothers named Jesse, Henry, and Charles Ed. These three were reunited, and they tried to find David, but with no success. It was thought that the name "Jipp Wilson" was given falsely, and the person wanted to remain anon. Elizabeth went to various places and hooked up with different men, these being David Lee, William Trainor, Charles Coats. she also lived with a man by the name of BROWN. It is believed she may have actually married the Charles coats guy, and possibly died with the last name of COATS, after 1906 probably in Kalamazoo County, near Vicksburg. Sally in Livonia
