    1. [MIGEN] Children Sent To America Before The Mayflower
    2. First Families
    3. Hello Everyone: We have posted a list of early VA immigrants that should be of help to those of you who may be having problems with establishing your early lines there. This concerns the Children Ordered Sent to Virginia 1618-1642 and contains a listing of 468 children, including 337 before the Mayflower landed in 1620! We have also included information on the reason for these relocations here so you can better understand why this practice happened during that time period. This would represent many thousands of lines and could be a reason why you may be having problems with your early people there. You will find the list located on the web site at; http://www.linkline.com/personal/xymox/ Once you get there you will be looking for the link Family Pages Index which you will enter. On the Family Index Page enter CHILDREN SENT TO VA 1618-1642. Everyone has FREE access to all our web site and the reports contained there. Enjoy Harold Oliver America's First Families

    2. Pamela Kavka
    3. My Grandfather is listed in the 1930 MI, Macomb, Armada Twp Census on "Zielesch Road." There are neighbors with the name Zielesch. I can not find this road on the current map. I checked adjoining census pages for nearby roads and found Ridge Road (now Armada Ridge) and Wilson Road. Wilson Road is not on a current map either. Does anyone know if Zielesch and Wilson Roads are now 33 and 34 Mile Roads? Thanks for any help. Pamela Kavka

    1. [MIGEN] Death of John Wesley Granger
    2. I haven't posted to this list before so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm looking for the death record of John Wesley Granger. He probably died sometime after 1909 - but it could have been a bit earlier. We have a post card sent to him in 1909 addressed; J.W. Granger, Lansing, RFD, Michigan. The front of the post card is a baby picture identified as Charles Joseph Granger, my wife's father. Although the card was not signed, it was sent from Oklahoma City presumedly by my wife's grandfather, Lewis/Louis Emery Granger. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Jerry Garrett

They migrated to Canada after the revolution. Several of his decendents migrated back to Michigan. I was in Owosso last summer and photographed several gravestones of relitaves at Oak Hill Cemetery and was given a copy of their newspaper dated April 1, 2000 to which they had rwe-run the original front page of April 1, 1900. This was the anneversery of the Central School Fire where Fred Ross (a fire fighter)lost his life. I was told by a cousin here in Ontario that there was a "ROSS REUNION" last summer but I was not aware of this. I request anyone who was involved in the reunion, PLEASE email me or snail mail to: Charles G.J.Ross UE 657 Rogers St., Peterborough, ON. 1. [MIGEN] New to list....need help finding G-Grandfather
    2. Joy
    3. Hi All, I have a very formidable brick wall here. Maybe someone can help me. As per the 1870 census my g-grandfather was born at sea. Being that it says his parents are from Germany, I'm assuming that they were sailing from there. George Esler b. @1847 at sea I'm also assuming that he came in through NY, since his wife Malinda was born there as well as their first child, and the 1880 census says he was born there. I have thoroughly searched the 1850 and 1860 NY and MI(were he was in the 1870 census) with no luck. I've been going through the passenger lists for 1947. I almost done. Knowing my luck it'll be the wrong year. I am at a complete loss. Any help and/or ideas are very appreciated Joy Smith San Diego, CA
