I want to see if an individual who died in Detroit in 1930 left a will. If he left a will, i want to examine it. I live in England. Is there any way of doing this? Thank you. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! SiteBuilder - Free, easy-to-use web site design software http://sitebuilder.yahoo.com

Total Family Group Sheets Submitted by Michigan Researchers is now at 235 in a just a short month of being online! The files are indexed by last name or by county and there is also a search engine on the site. There are multiple ways to submit a family group sheet. Two different online forms, and you can also submit them by e-mail using the following program family sheet outputs: Legacy, Ancestry Family Tree Software, and Family Origin Software. Sorry, FTM and PAF sheet format will not work on the web, but there is a way to use your gedcom with instructions to do it. http://www.rootsweb.com/~migenweb/fgs/ Family Group Sheets have been used for many years in genealogical research to show a family as a unit and what information you have on each person. They consist of a husband, wife, and each of their children. Before computers and even now genealogists make one of these out in paper form on each family to keep track of the data they have collected and what is still needed when out doing research at the courthouse, library or other research center. Genealogy societies have long collected them, to help connect researchers who were searching the same family. One of my earliest contacts when starting my family history was due to the use of family group sheets kept by a society that I contacted in England. As with all genealogy data you find compiled by others, use these as a resource for clues, so that you may get a copy of primary source documentation for your own files. Family Group Sheets are considered secondary sources in genealogical research. Submit your sheets and go to the MIGenWeb county your ancestors lived in to find more files online. Hi Everyone, As I understand a Roll Call, usually just surnames are used, but in the whole state of Michigan, some of us would be willing to look in our resource books for your surname, IF we knew which county your ancestors were known to be residing in, and a year. I hope I'm not out of order here. Thanks. Mary in Tx. ( Branch County, MI. researcher ) with too many surnames to try to list them.
