    3. Enough of this please! None of this banter has anything to do with Midlothian genealogy!! If you want to chatter to each other, PLEASE do it OFF LIST. You are only wasting everyone else's time and bandwidth. And yes, I know I am adding to the thread with this message, but we all need to get back to what the list is meant for. List Administrator, where are you? Andrew Canberra Looking for the following people in West Lothian: Jessie MCLEAN b. Bo'ness 1830 to 1840, m. James NICOL of Stirlingshire in St. Ninians, 1858. Her parents: Daniel MCLEAN & Margaret LIDDLE, m. 26 Nov. 1830 in Bo'ness.

    3. I'm 'fairly' new to this list, I suppose I'm a bit of a lurker really. However I quite enjoy the friendly banter that sometimes goes on whether it be on or off topic. There is a greater chance that I would go out of my way to help someone that I feel is friendly than a person who is just plain stuffy. Genealogy is supposed to be fun and exciting, off topic chatter can give the ol' brain a break while you are wading through information. Back ON topic... I am hunting down a William Noble (South Leith) at present, married to Janet Edmonstone in 1828 and had two sons James (b.abt 1830) and Alexander (b. abt 1832). William is not listed with them in the 1841 or 1851 censuses (or is that censii :) ). Williams marriage certificate does not list his parents and I cannot find his death certificate. Any suggestions? Kylie
