I have had in my possession for quite a few years now a letter dated the 20th January 1831 from a Henry Cheape of Contts & Co in London. The letter advises payment of 100 pounds less Fees ( 22/3) P98.17.9 for JAMES LINDSAY. The Letter was addressed to DAVID WEMYSS at Mrs Stewarts, 3 Albyn Place Edinburgh.
