Hello, I am searching for a Charles Gillies and his wife (no marriage record located)) Catherine Gray. They are the parents of Catherine Mc Rae nee Gillies (from her death certificate) born circa 1813, said to be born (census record) in Edinburgh. Does anyone have knowledge of them or where to look beside Scotland's People and The Latter Day Saint (LDS i.e. Mormon site)? I would also like to pursue the Poor Records in Leith (both North and South in the late 1880's. Where can I write for a search of the records? Thank you for your assistance.
