Hi fellow researchers, My problem... the 1881 census for 73 Pleasance. Edinburgh St Cuthberts lists my ancestor Alexander Ketchin aged 32(should be 39) Bachelor. his wife Mary Ann Ketchin aged 43. Marriage 1874, says she was Mary Ann Sutherland once married to Roberts Owens., Widow. John Ovens age 21 and (should be Owens) ALEXANDER KETCHIN Aged 1 grandson born Carrington. I have been on Scotlands People, and Family Search and can find no Alexander Ketchin (Kitchin, Kitchen) born 1880. 1881. I can find no children to Alexander which would have had to have been born before his marriage in 1874, but then I do not have a wifes name. Scotland's People can get a bit expensive when you live in New Zealand and are searching without great direction. Any suggestions most welcome Cheers Janet
