Hello List, Is there someone that can tell me more information on David Rodger born about 1805. The Information I have on My 2X Great Grandfather David Rodger is that he married Margaret McAlpine on 14 October 1825 in Musselburgh, Inveresk, Midlothian, Scotland. David Rodger died on 27 January 1900 at Monktonhall aged 95. Which makes him born about 1805. I did have a birth for a David Rodger born 1798 but now know that the David born 1798 in Musselburgh was not the right David that I have in my Tree. The only two David Roger born about 1805 are a David Roger Christened in Inveresk on 23 June 1805 with the parents named John Roger and Agnes Kirkwood or a David Rodger Christened 25 December 1807 in Saint Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland with the Parents named James Rodger and Margaret Telfard. I have the Death certificate of David Rodger married to Margaret McAlpine who died 27 January 1900 at Monktonhall aged 95. Which makes him born about 1805. On his death certificate his Grandson James Sandlands stated that David was the son of ? Rodger Coalminer Deceased. Do anyone on this list know a David Rodger born about 1805 with a father who was a Coalminer from Musselburgh. On David's death it do not mention who his mother was. Do anyone have a James Rodger and Margaret Telfard or a John Roger and Agnes Kirkwood in their tree Please? So I can rule out the correct family information of their son David. David Rodger born about 1805 and Married to Margaret McAlpine was a Engine Keeper. With a father who was a Coalminer. Thank you in advance for any information I might receive.
