    3. Thanks Ron, that answers the question I posed to the list when I found a family member registered in 1855 - 15 years after his birth. I had asked if maybe there was a reason to rush to get all the parish records up to date for the new statutory registrations. I have been trying to find another birth that has not yet been found so I think I will now make a concerted effort to find my gg grandmother's birth and her mother and her aunts. Starting with 1855..........lots of late nights coming, I can see that now.
