Hi Liz, Now I am really confused!!!! If Cecilia Dempster is the wife of grandson Robert, then Robert must be a Dempster, son of one of William's daughter's who married a Dempster????? If this is the case, which daughter?? I have a list of some of William & Jean's children and who they married compliments of Jean, and I don't see a Dempster in them. Help!!!!! gretchen **************The year's hottest artists on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. Go to AOL Music. (http://music.aol.com/grammys?NCID=aolcmp00300000002565)
No, her maiden name is Dempster. The family tree program always uses the maiden names when running reports. She was my grandfather's sister. Robert is acutally her second husband, she lost one in WWI. I have found a birth record for a male, and I cannot confirm as it is past 1906, but his name is Lauchlan John Laing, born in 1925. I am possitive that he is their son, as all my grandfathers were named Lauchlan John. Then I found Robert's death, and the informant was Lauchlan J. Laing, son. So that confirmed that. If you get to any point where you are putting all this in your tree, contact me off line for all the particulars.
