I think Liz already asked you about Andrew b1830 in the 1851 census I cant find any trace of him. He is not with the family in 1841. I was at the GROS in Edinburgh last year and have the earliest as- William LAING married Elizabeth FINLAY 1777 irregularly in Edinburgh and recorded Inveresk p. Children, all born Inveresk p. were David 1778, Jean 1781, William 1783, Janet 1785, William 1788. I have exact birth dates, baptism dates and witnesses. There may have been a child named Pringle, as there is a death of a Pringle LAING in 1821 in Inveresk, (aged 32yrs) with father William LAING. William b 1788 married Jean / Jane ADAMSON 1807 Newton p. Gretchen, your Elizabeth LAING first married Robert ARCHIBALD. Her sister Christian LAING married James ARCHIBALD, who were my gg grandparents. Two sisters married two brothers.
