Hi Janet, You didn't mention the 1871 census, so I wondered if you had the following? Looks as though the first may be your elder Alexander KETCHIN. Hope it does help you. I couldn't find an obvious Alexander with a wife Mary (Ann) in 1891. Nor could I find a Roberts OWENS in 1871.
