    3. Hello New to list and hope someone can help me. I have been tracing my family for more than 15 years but made a new discovery last week. My great Uncle JAMES JOHN PICTON DAVIES born India 1888, and an engineer working in Penang in the 1940's was interned by the Japanese during WW2. The Imperial Way museum have a register of prisoners and today they have tracked down his entry. One piece of information that is completely new is that Jim had a wife and she managed to get out of Singapore and get to Scotland. Her address is Mrs A Davies, Tigh-na-Geat, Lothianburn, Midlothian. Obviously I have no idea why she went there - maybe she was a Scot? Jim's mother was a Mcglashan from Kinross and his sisters both married Clark's from Glasgow. Are any electoral registers available for the War period - it may show who owned the house. I have googled and it appears the property still exists but I cannot find Lothianburn? Where is Lothianburn? Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Many thanks Cathy N Devon

    3. Hallo Cathy Lothianburn Golf Course is just off the A702, Edinburgh to Biggar Road, and just south or south west of the Edinburgh bypass (A720). I should imagine that Lothianburn is nearby. I put it in Google but they don't appear to have it mapped. So it is probably a fairly small village. Try looking for Fairmilehead - it is south of that.
