In the 1845 Maps of the Lothian Parishes at http://www.forrestdale.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Parishes.html the parish of Inveresk (and Musselburgh) lies within Midlothian -- also confirmed by http://www.rootsweb.com/~sctbew/Parish/Index.htm Today, I understand, Inveresk and Musselburgh records are maintained by East Lothian Council. Can anyone advise when the switch from one county to the other took place? Thanks Jim Arnott, Canada
