Hello Several years ago I was able to get the New Town Vol 3 of the Carstairs and Carstairs 1851 Census Name Index. I ordered it on Inter Lib Loan from my library here in Ontario Canada. It took 6 months to get here but well worth the wait ! I tried to do the same for the other 2 volumes - Old Town & Canongate ( I think it's called ). Unfortunately we couldn't get them on loan. Anyone living in Edinburgh or visitors there can access all 3 Volumes at GRO and NRH I believe.
