    3. Hello, Thought I would send this as it may have some relevance if only because of the link with William's occupation and address - perhaps he was related to James? Ref. 685/3 Entry 45 Canongate 1901 - Marriage 8th March at 3 St. John Street (?) Edinburgh after Banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. Signed Jane FORSYTH, paper mill worker, spinster, aged 18, 146 Canongate, Signed Edward Syme, bachelor, brass finisher, aged 32. Same address. His parents were Alexander Syme, cork cutter and Elizabeth Galbraith both deceased. Her parents were William Forsyth, Baker Journeyman and Margaret McGann or McGunn, deceased, witnesses were Robert Peter -? and Janet Dickson Ref. 685/3 Entry 50 Canongate. Birth 24th December 1882 - Jane FORSYTH. father William Forsyth, Baker Journeyman, mother Margaret McGINN married 13th August, 1880 at Edinburgh. Margaret Forsyth, her mark. Born at 6h, 30 m. p.m. at 215 Canongate (Shoemaker Close) I also have notes on a birth at Craiglockhart Poorhouse in 1896 of a Jane FORSYTH and another Jane Walpole Forsyth being born in Canongate to a Wm. Forsyth (Tailor) and his wife Janet Dykes if anyone wishes the infor. Also a Robert FORSYTH, a commercial bank agent, some notes on him too and his wife,Jane Wright. These folk are not mine, I just noticed the posting and remembered I had some FORSYTH notes from a little bit of research I did for a researcher in Australia. They turned out not to be hers.
