Hi. Liz, My BRASH was Alison BRASH born about 1822 in Athelstaneford, Haddington. She married John /James WINTON in Inveresk in 1846. I have her father as Peter BRASH. As I said my KING family hailed from Haddington and Berwickshire, although some did migrate to Edinburgh and Northumberland. I have two David KINGs from the mid and late 1700s, both born in Coldingham, Berwickshire, but no Coal Miners that I know of. Regards, Gil.
