I am looking for Elizabeth HISLOP she & James SCOTT, had a child, Euphemia SCOTT, born c 1796 / 97, probably in Stow. No marriage has shown for Elizabeth & James, at this stage in my research. Neither do the baptisms of the 3 of them show. I have no knowledge of any Siblings of Euphemia. Do these names appear in any research out there ? Mary New Zealand.

In 1843 my ancestors William EDWARDS and Janet/Jessie BRODIE were married in Aberdeen But according to the 1871 census of Newcastle upon Tyne, two of their children were born in Edinburgh en route presumably between Aberdeen and Newcastle/ I am looking for Elizabeth Edwards b. about 1852 and William b. about 1850, both listed as having been born in Edinburgh. Anyone have any ideas on where I can start? The Scotlands People online service have no entries in these names, with the correct parents. The IGI have no entries either. The parents were married by " a dissenting minister" so presumably they were not Church of Scotland. Val Roper, Bahrain (no resources except to the internet!)

Dear Listers, One of my grandfather's brothers accidentally died in 1913 from a dose of poison. Would thee have been an Inquest regarding this death? I have his death certificate and there are notes in the margin which make me believe there might have been one. Could somebody help me with his matter please. Where would I ask for such a document?
