Hi, The following names are in the Will of my Gr-Gr-Gr-Grandfather and I thought perhaps they might interest anyone who would recognise them as part of their family. 28-February 1838 Samuel Greenshields Schoolmaster of the Parish of Whitburn Thomas Gordon Late of Whitburn, Writer to the Signet The Following three men he appointed as "Tutors and Curators" for his children Alexander Waddell of Burnhead William Arthur, Sadler in Whitburn Alexander Wilson, Surgeon Walter Black Apprentice to John Smith Writer in Bathgate Croftmalloch bounded as follows on the East by the Lands of Whitburn belonging to Mr Gordon On the West by the Drove Loan On the South by the lands of Cairny(?)and Belstone And on the North by a burn which divides the same from the Profsefsion of the Reverend Mr. Rhind and Mr Bruce with the haill houses yards and pertinent thereof as sometime Possessed by Alexander Waddell afterwards by Thomas Russell and at present prossessed by myself all lying in the Parish of Whitburn Happy Hunting Merrylee
