Hi Jean, The MCGILL baptism is merely a spare (no connection to my own tree) but Alexander URQUHART was my 5G Grandfather: Alexander URQUHART, born 31 Mar 1770; bap 8 Apr 1770. Parents: William URQUHART and Mary ROBERTSON. Witnesses: George ROBERTSON and George FLETCHER. Alexander URQUHART married Margaret KERR on 4 Jan 1788, South Leith - they eventually moved to Dundee where they raised their family, and where Alexander ran a thriving cork cutting business.
