Hi Midlothian List, I wonder if anyone can help me with an image or two from the 1901 Census for Scotland. I found out last night that my grandfather's elder brother was in Scotland in 1901. I have access to the information but not to an image. John GUNTHER served with the Artillery in South Africa and then in France during the First World War. Seemingly he was at Leith Fort when the census was taken. According to what I could find he was at Leith North, Leith, Midlothian, Line 24, Roll CSSCT1901_399. It says John was from England but he was born in Wales. His family moved from Denbigh, Denbighshire, to Flint, Flintshire, soon after he was born and he grew up in Flint. He married while still in the Artillery and his wife worked in Liverpool for a while until returning to Flint. John was the first son of Carl (Charles) GUNTHER (a native of Switzerland) and Mary GITTINS (of Denbigh, North Wales). I would be very grateful if anyone could send me an image of the page and, possibly but not important, first page of the Artillery section or first page of the register showing the location. Many thanks and best wishes, Charles
