This is my first posting to this list, and I am hoping to make contact with anyone researching the family of the Reverend William FINLAY (b 1753), Minister of Polmont parish Stirlingshire 1778-1800, and chaplain to George, Prince of Wales. Of his ten children, I am researching Gilbert Laurie FINLAY (1792-1872) and the latter’s wife Grace Hunter CHARLES (b 1799), but I would be very interested to find out what happened to the other descendants.
