Hello, I hope that everyone is well. I have hit a brick wall in my research and I'm hoping that someone on the list serve might be able to help me. I am looking for any information on the ancestors, descendants or relatives of Thomas Shade a tabaconnist who was living in Fenchurch London in the early 1800s. He had two brothers and a sister. I don't know anything about the sister however the two brothers Walter and William died late 1700s early 1800s. How they died I don't know but they were living in the Caribbean on the Island of Carriacou a dependency of Grenada. I know that the Shades are from Scotland and I also know that the planters of Carriacou had hired Scottish ship builders to build sloops for them and many ended up settling in Carriacou. My great-grandmother was Agnes Shade and she was born in Carriacou in the middle of the 1800s. I look forward to hearing from anyone who might be able to tell me anything and or give me some pointers because I'm not getting very. Thanks and all the best for 2008! Philip Thorne NYC-USA
