My great grandfather James Sinclair was widowed in 1870 and he remarried in 1873 to Helen Reid in Edinburgh. According to their daughter Jane's marriage certificate, Helen was still alive in 1901. Her birth year was approx. 1838 so she would be about 63 then. Her father was Daniel Reid of Edinburgh. I have searched for Helen's death and so far have been totally unsuccessful.
