Janet Thomson b.1792 Temple (daughter of Robert Thomson and Marion Tait) she married a Alexander Rutherford, they stayed at Dalkeith they had 3 children. 1/ Joseph Rutherford b. 1827 2/ Robert Tait Rutherford b.1830 3/ Brown Shand Rutherford b.1832,Inveresk Janet and Alexander both stayed and died at Dalkeith. Janet Brother ---------------- Robert Thomson b.1804 Crichton( son of Robert Thomson and Marion Tait) he married a Agnes Brown b.abt 1802, d.1895 Leith Edinburgh, they had 7 children. 1/ Robert Thomson b.1828 Crichton, he married Isabella Elliot. 2/ Isabella Thomson b.1830 Crichton ,she married Robert Rutherford. 3/ William Thomson b.1835 Crichton, he married Elizabeth Lauder 4/ James Thomson b. 1838 Gladmuir,he married Marion Souness. 5/ John Thomson b. 1841 Crichton, he married Margaret Herkes she died Bonnington Rd,Edinburgh 1906. 6/ Alexander Thomson b.abt 1845 Borthwick, he married Mary Ponton. 7/ Agnes Thomson b. 1848 Borthwick,d 1919 Leith.
