Hi, I'm just new to this list and wanted to make enquiries about the Stewart family of Leith. Alexander, his wife Elizabeth ? and four children sailed to Australia as an assisted passenger on the Duchess of Northemberland on 6 Aug 1839. I have information that he appears on the Register of Emmigrant Labourers No 4624, Embarkation No. 3250. I'm not sure if this information is available from South Australia. I am seeking his town of origin, and possibly a marriage and or parents names?. His oldest child was 13 at the time, so their marriage is circa 1826 ish. He was a Shepherd at the time.
