    3. Hi Gretchen, This was the one I was getting anyway because I have a friend who is looking for BONEs. ......................................................................................... Register of Proclamations of Marriages in Canongate 1812 Oct 3 Robert Bone ploughman in Ormiston and Elizabeth Liddel in John St Canongate. daughter of the late Jas Liddel Carrier in Coldingham gave up their names for marriage. The residence of the Parties and other particulars as stated in the marriage lines are certified by Thos Ritchie, Painter of Panmore Close Canongate and David Russell Cabinet Maker of 64 Bristo Street. ........................................................................................................ I already had the marriage lines for this couple, and was hoping there might be more in the proclamations. The only difference was that instead of Panmore Close it just had Canongate for Thomas Ritchie's residence so I guess that's something: Hope this helps, Jane ----- Original Message ----- From: <GBZMOM@aol.com> To: <MIDLOTHIAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, December 13, 2004 1:50 AM Subject: Re: [MLN] Canongate proclamations 1812 spares > Hi Jane, > > I would love to have the Robert Bone proclamation when you have time. > > Thanks, > > gretchen > Michigan, USA > >

    3. RE: "Register of Proclamations of Marriages in Canongate........" Hello Good Folk of MLN - Season's Greetings from snowy Burnt River where we're hip deep in the white fluffy stuff! I hope you don't mind my jumping in here; but, I was impressed by this "Register of Proc......" This is the 1st time I've ever seen one. Where do they come from & how does one access them? I'd appreciate a little background on this if it's convenient for you.
