Researching the family of Maggie Agnes Wightman BORTHWICK Whose family came from Borthwick and moved to Edinburgh and she married Henry Somerville HIRD of Letham Angus on 29 Febraury 1876 She was daughter of Hay WIGHTMAN and supposedly born Edinburgh 1856? ... But so far not definitely found ... Father is stated at her marriage as Arthur BORTHWICK 'house servant' BUT Hay WIGHTMAN is recorded at her death in 1904 age 83 as 'single' and 'Margt A HIRD daughter 'was the informant.
