Hi List, Looking for a Robert Bryden Ballantyne. born 1881 in Bo'ness, son of Robert Bryden Ballantyne and Annie Maxwell. He married Lilias Adams Dec 13, 1904 in Carriden.b, 1881 in Bridgeness, Carriden, daughter of John Adams and Mary ?, died in Old Cumnock Oct 4, 1944. I have his marrige certificate, listing their parents as above, but can't find parents or him in the1881 census, BVR or Scotlandspeople.gov. The only marriage, listing names the same as his parents, is in 1887, 6 years after his birth so thought it highly unlikely that they were the right ones. He died in Old Cumnock March 1, 1937. Would like to find date of birth for Robert Jr. and the whereabouts of his parents around 1881. I believe the parents immigrated later to Canada but wouldn't think that would happen to approx. 1900.
