Hi fellow Listers - Just curious.... My line is Petrie, from Bathgate at least to very early 1800s - my grandfather, however, said he was related to Sir William Mathew Flinders Petrie (don't know how - all deceased). In a biography, British author Margaret Drower mentions that that Petrie line could connect to the "famous Scottish divine" Alexander Petrie (1700s). Anyone out there know anything about this Alexander Petrie and what a "divine" might be? Thanks! Kit (Petrie) Timmons
