I hadn't thought of the NAS, I'll add that to my To Do list already started for there! And, I hadn't known of the Labour History group, but that makes sense. Part of my gap is that I don't know what organizations exist! It's precisely that I don't know clearly where my gg grandfather lived that I'm looking in this direction - I have him located later in life, but not early on. Hoping to find some clues; although from your email excerpt, there are so many locations for coal miners that I'll need to narrow it down quite a bit! Thanks again for the information, Allison
