    1. Scotland births/deaths 1850-1900
    2. 1. Where is the best place for me to locate: a. A death certificate for Thomas (aka Teddy, aka Edward) Harkins who died between 1871 and 1881 in Scotland b. A death certificate for the above Thomas wife, Bridget McTiernan (or McTearnan) Harkins between 1857 and 1871 (She's not in the 1871 Midlothian census and is listed as deceased at her son Timothy's 1871 wedding in Edinburgh.) c. A marriage and/or death certificate of James Harkins born in 1857 Edinburgh (son of Thomas and Bridget McTiernan Harkins). He's in the 1871 census in Edinburgh. I loose him after that. d. A birth certificate of Timothy Harkins born about 1853/54 Edinburgh (son of Thomas and Bridget McTiernan Harkins) The name Harkins is frequently spelled without the final s. On the marriage record of Timothy Harkins and his wife, it is spelled both ways. 2. Also are there any records of people who came from Ireland to Scotland in the late 1840's and early 1850's? Thanks for any advice, Maureen --
