Hello Sheila I was in contact before with a Porteous researcher I cannot remember who it was, but it had to do with someone with the name of James Will from Aberdeenshire. I have the family of Archibald and Margaret. I have not worked on that line for a while, I have been concentrating on Redpath and Kinnaird in the Dunbar area. I do not know my connection . I have now found the connection Robert Thomson from Stow, Peebles, married Janet White from East Linton. Robert is on my main tree as his brother Alexander Thomson married Jacobina Kinnaird. Jacobina was the party to a Lawsuit I have recently purchased from West Register House . The Lawsuit gave two families of Kinnaird's giving husbands and wives also their children and where they lived . Also three generation's of Redpaths Robert Thomson's father married again when he was 66 to a 26 year old Violet Borland they had four children who died.
