Once you have the census details you can have a look at seeing if the place still exists, as many of the houses date from the mid 1800's or earlier. To do this go to google and type in the address and select the maps menu at the left top of the page, hit the enter and you will get the modern street address, if this corresponds to the old census address you and then select the street view and hey presto you will get a picture of the house that you an view from all angles.
