Hi Bob, I think the marriage of James Scott and Jane Edgar is there on Scotlands People. I just typed it in and a match came up. Don't put in any parish in particular put "all parishes". I think it looks pretty promising that this is your family. I found many of my family members by not putting any particular parish in the toolbar. Hope this helps. Bob - There are a number of James Scotts on FreeReg - http://www.freereg.org.uk/search/index.htm in various counties. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear Midlothian or Edinburgh have been transcribed yet. Does anyone know the status of this?
