Hello Listers I am looking for a birth record for the following (I have trawled Scotland's People, but haven't had any luck): John Donachie b 1869 in Musselburgh. John later married Eliza Sinclair. John died young at the age of 49. I have his death record. John's parents were Allexander Donachie and Catherine Gallaghan Any help gratefully appreciated. Near my wits end on this one Christine

SPs lists two births for John Donachie in 1869 and three for 1869-1870. Hello Christine On Family Search there is a submitted entry. These entries can only be taken as a guide and are not always trustworthy. John DONACHIE born about 1864 in McKinnell, Fife. Married Eliza SINCLAIR about 1889 in Armadale, West Lothian. Hello Christine There is also a submitted entry for Eliza's birth. Coincidentally there is also an extracted entry for the same date. She was born on 7th September 1869 in Dunfermline, Fife to John SINCLAIR and Ann BEATTIE. You would need to check it out that this is the correct couple. They also had another 10 children listed on Family Search for the same couple.
