This database contains the fully searchable details of records listed in the electronic catalogue of the National Archives of Scotland. Please use the menu options above to search through our records. Note that it is not possible to view the actual records online - to view the actual record, or in some cases a surrogate such as a digital image, it is necessary to visit our search rooms in person. This is a snapshot of the Welcome page to NAS. Note, that to view actual records you have to visit the search rooms in person. However if you go to ScotlandsPeople, you will be able to search and browse and then have the opportunity to pay for views of the documents (Statutory Register, Old Parish Registers, Censuses, etc.), print copies, etc. I used this facility heavily last fall for a research project and it was wonderful. http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ Maurine Nuttall a distant descendant of Ninian Kerr. nuttall@surewest.net Granite Bay, California, USA On 2/21/2010 12:00 AM, midlothian-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > > Today's Topics: > > 1. idlothian - NAS Catalogue (rpeter8370@aol.com) > 2.
